Small Town Christmas CelebrationProclamation by Mayor Mike GilesCITY OF LOVELOCK WHEREAS, the merchants of Lovelock would like to kick-off the holiday season by encouraging our community to support the businesses within Pershing County and the City of Lovelock to shop at home for the holiday season; and, WHEREAS, various events will take place the week-end of December 3-4, 2011, Friends of the Library Craft Fair, Parade of Lights, Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Pershing County Courthouse, Sign Language Performance, and the Lions Club Home Decorating contest; and, WHEREAS, the continuation of this celebration as an annual event will bring our community together by celebrating the holidays with a small town atmosphere; and, WHEREAS, we urge you to support the local merchants and join in the celebration; and, NOW THEREFORE, I, Michael R. Giles, Mayor of the City of Lovelock, do hereby proclaim the week-end of December 3-4, 2011, as Lovelock’s Small Town Christmas Celebration.
