Chief Mancebo was appointed on January 25, 1999.  He was 30 years old at the time of his appointment and was the youngest Police Chief in Nevada.  Prior to becoming the Chief of Police, Chief Mancebo was with the Pershing County Sheriff’s Office.  Chief Mancebo spent 7 years with the Sheriff’s Office where he was a Sergeant and K-9 handler.  Chief Mancebo and his partner Buster continued to work as a Narcotics Detection Team when they came to the City.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sergeant Mancebo has been with the Lovelock Police Department for over 15 years. He is a life long resident of Lovelock and is a graduate from Pershing County High School.  Sergeant Mancebo’s ambition and drive to keep our community safe make him an important asset to this department. Officer Lanier has been with the Lovelock Police Department since 1998.  Officer Lanier retired with 21 years of service from Prince George's County Police Department in Maryland as a Crime Scene Investigator.   Laura has been with the City of Lovelock since 1996. She transferred full time to this department in 2002.  Laura is responsible for everything from warrant entry and case filing to evidence management and drug court.  Her most valuable asset is her ability to deal with whatever situation the Officers throw at her.
